Qualifications & Expertise

Dr Halai completed his specialist training at Queen Mary, University of London, earning a Doctorate in Clinical Periodontology (DClinDent) — the highest level of taught specialist education in the UK. In the same year, he passed the Specialist Board Exams at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, becoming one of the youngest registered Periodontists in the country.

His commitment to excellence has been recognised with multiple awards, including the British Society Fellowship Award, which gave him the opportunity to complete a prestigious internship at the renowned Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Passion for Education & Mentorship

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Halai has been involved in dental education since 2014. He has held research/teaching positions at Great Ormond Street Hospital, King’s College London and Queen Mary University.

In 2020, he co-founded the EduDent Academy — an educational platform that offers advanced periodontal training for periodontists, dentists, hygienists, and dental therapists.
